Attorney Witherspoon has lived in Columbia for 22 years. He is married, has a grown daughter and is an active member of the Pine Grove AME Church. Bryan S. Jeffries
Attorney Jeffries is a graduate of the University of South Carolina (B.S., 1988) and the University of South Carolina School of Law (J.D, 2002). While in law school, he was vice president of the Black Law Students Association, chair of the Student Bar Association’s Minority Affairs/Minority Recruitment Committee and a member of Phi Delta Phi. Bryan was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2002 and the United States District Court, District of South Carolina in 2008 and is a member of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association. Bryan maintains and operates Jeffries Law Firm, LLC in Orangeburg, South Carolina, where his areas of practice include personal injury, general negligence, workers’ compensation, disability, family law and probate issues.
Bryan is a resident of Orangeburg and is active within his community, currently serving as a board member of the Samaritan House Homeless Shelter and as a team member of the Edisto Children’s Center in Orangeburg.
Lelia B. Ferguson
Attorney Ferguson (Beatrice Belton) is a native of Columbia, where she graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1971. In 1989, Lelia graduated from Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, North Carolina, with an associate's degree in paralegal technology, and in January 1990, returned to Columbia to start her legal career as a paralegal for attorney Brenda Reddix-Smalls. With Ms. Reddix-Smalls' mentoring and encouragement, Lelia returned to college and graduated from Columbia College in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in public affairs. In 1999, she graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law and in May 2000, became a licensed member of the South Carolina Bar.
Lelia has a general practice of law, including but not limited to employment discrimination, probate, family law, civil rights law, personal injury and workers’ compensation. She also is the mother of one daughter, Mallory.
